TEN years of Career Day in Tübingen
The anniversary of the career fair at the Paul Horn Arena on May 16, 2024, was very popular and a complete success.
Among the nearly 100 exhibitors In addition to commercial enterprises, 30 social initiatives were also represented. From the university, TRACS, the Alumni Office, the StartUp Center, and numerous student groups participated.
The career fair, held annually in cooperation with the Tigers Tübingen and the Career Service of the University of Tübingen, offered students a diverse range of opportunities in a sporty atmosphere. Visitors had the chance to talk with exhibitors about internships, working student positions, involvement opportunities, and direct entry-level positions.
This year, Tristan Horx (Zukunftsinstitut) was secured as the keynote speaker, who spoke about the future labor market in his presentation. Additionally, there was a panel discussion with alumni on the topic of transitioning from studies to a career, a presentation on „Professional Applications,“ and a live hacking demonstration.
The free offerings at the fair included career entry counseling and coaching, resume reviews, elevator pitch sessions (feedback on personal presentation), professional headshot sessions, as well as pizza, crepes, soft-serve ice cream, and drinks. Visitors could also participate in a free throw contest and a gaming lounge with great prizes.
The career fair thus offered an inspiring and informative platform for career orientation and entry.
